GLOVE SIGNED BY JENNIE FINCH UP FOR CHARITY AUCTION

AKRON, OH – June 29, 2012 – The Akron Racers are pleased to announce their new auction item up for bid; a glove signed by softball icon Jennie Finch.
Jennie Finch is a former pitcher for the USA National softball team and for the Chicago Bandits. She earned a gold medal with Team USA at the 2004 Summer Olympics and a silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She is known to be the most famous softball player in history and has helped expand the sport to what it is today.
The signed glove is a Louisville Slugger Fielding Glove from the Diva line. It is black, gray and pink and is designed for developing youth players.  Finch’s signature is down the left side in silver sharpie.
Fans can bid on the pink softball basket starting today by visiting www.akronracers.org and clicking on the Akron Racers Charities logo. The auction will expire on July 10, 2012.
